Alspec Eastern Creek: Powering Production with Solar Innovation
ALSPEC®’s manufacturing processes—including aluminium extrusion, cutting, and powder-coating—require substantial electricity, contributing to rising production costs. In pursuit of energy efficiency and sustainability, ALSPEC turned to solar photovoltaic (PV) technology as a long-term solution.
An initial 100kW Alspec Solar 315W Galaxy System was installed on the rooftop of ALSPEC’s Sydney Headquarters and Distribution Centre, spanning 569m². Paired with a high-efficiency string inverter, the system was engineered to supply 20% of the site’s operational energy needs.
The system’s lightweight design, quick installation, and no-drill mounting method ensured zero impact on the existing roof structure, addressing key concerns for industrial retrofits. Building on this success, ALSPEC later commissioned a 400kW upgrade using 335W Alspec Solar Galaxy Series panels. This enhanced system now delivers up to 100% in energy cost savings, marking a bold step in ALSPEC’s journey toward operational sustainability and energy independence.
